Callum Ball, also known as Blue Garcon, is a UK-based indie Pop artist. He hired me to photograph and film a music video for him in central London. Blue’s idea for his video was clear and fit the vibe of the location we chose. However, when it came to photos and modelling, he gave me a lot of creative freedom to get the shots I thought would best match his aesthetic. Travelling all across London to get over 70 photos for his social media and music portfolio.
ABOUT THE ARTIST…
Being new to modelling in front of a camera, it was my job to capture Callum’s best angles and have him situated in a way that would look good on camera. When shooting someone for the first time, you’ve got to figure out what angles work best for them, what lighting will highlight their best features and what framing can do to bring the image you’re taking to that next level. Callum was extremely professional and knew how to be in front of the camera, helped by his TikTok presence!
